Strengthening European Naval Capability - Together

08 April 2026

In March, we welcomed NAVAL GROUP to our Swedish facility as part of their strategic industrial tour across Sweden.

The visit was both a testament to the depth of our ongoing partnership and a meaningful step in NAVAL GROUP's engagement with the Swedish defence supply chain.

The context carries significant weight: NAVAL GROUP's Defence and Intervention Frigate - of which the first-of-class Amiral Ronarc'h visited Gothenburg earlier this year – is a strong contender for Sweden's upcoming Luleå-class corvette program (FMW Nya ytstridsfartyg).

A platform already proven at sea, now being considered for one of Europe's most strategically important naval procurements.

Dellner Bubenzer supplies the FDI with two complete Stopping, Turning & Locking (STL) systems - one for the port and one for the starboard propulsion train – each incorporating a 1.6-metre brake disc and a dedicated control system.

Total supply per shipset: approximately 4.2 tons of precision-engineered braking technology.

Visits like this remind us why industrial partnerships matter. When defence platforms are designed for decades of operational service, the quality and reliability of every component counts.

We are proud that Swedish engineering is already at the heart of one of Europe's most advanced naval ship - and we look forward to what comes next.
